I dunno...Autumn is my favorite season. But since so many folks like summer, I'll leave it alone.
BUT...
Whaddya say we extend autumn out one month, and cut my second favorite season (Winter) short by that same month.
Can we do that? I mean, do you have any clout in this area of life? Is there someone else I should be talking to about it? Mr. Shakespear, perhaps? How 'bout TBG (aka: The Big Guy)?
Danny, I'm afraid the symmetry of 3 months per season is too appealing to get much openness to change from most folks. But we do call that extended summer weather "Indian Summer."
I like words, images, graphic design, well-turned phrases, doodling, humor and profundity. These are found in every quarter and I'm always on the hunt. I was rescued (in November, 1974) from guilt and a stubborn irrational belief in an impersonal chance universe (with the accompanying hopelessness). I'm now convinced that nothing is more obvious or worthy of our attention than our Creator and the one true ancient path. Only Jesus has the words of everlasting life. Like John Newton "I once was lost but now am found, was blind but now I see."

That's true. But Indian Summer cuts into my Autumn. And I want something done about it. ;-)
DK could also just move to Flagstaff where they don't get too much snow (maybe a little) but the weather still cools down (below 60 I guess).
