Wouldn't a round metal hat with precious stones that happened to be sitting on a queen's head actually BE a crown? Not LIKE a crown? or do queens have a collection of round metal hats with precious stones that are not actually their crowns?
All I can say when I see Damien doubled over barely able to get his breath, arms crossed against his chest and with a huge smile on his face is thank God for the inanely stupid humor of Handy.
Ah, light is shed. A little googling and it's clear. I never did get SNL, so there's the problem. Glad you enjoyed it, and certain there will be many others who share your enjoyment of well delivered JH inane stupidity. Names shall be withheld to protect the guilty, but I live with a good measure of this very type of "deep thought", but without the intended goal of humor. Your post did indeed miss its mark this morning and go sailing right by my very fatigued brain.
I like words, images, graphic design, well-turned phrases, doodling, humor and profundity. These are found in every quarter and I'm always on the hunt. I was rescued (in November, 1974) from guilt and a stubborn irrational belief in an impersonal chance universe (with the accompanying hopelessness). I'm now convinced that nothing is more obvious or worthy of our attention than our Creator and the one true ancient path. Only Jesus has the words of everlasting life. Like John Newton "I once was lost but now am found, was blind but now I see."

apparently the humor of jack handey's inane stupidity escapes you.

Too hysterical! I had to laugh out loud!
