- I like words, images, graphic design, well-turned phrases, doodling, humor and profundity. These are found in every quarter and I'm always on the hunt. I was rescued (in November, 1974) from guilt and a stubborn irrational belief in an impersonal chance universe (with the accompanying hopelessness). I'm now convinced that nothing is more obvious or worthy of our attention than our Creator and the one true ancient path. Only Jesus has the words of everlasting life. Like John Newton "I once was lost but now am found, was blind but now I see."

I had to stare at this pict. for awhile before I could even figure out it was an armadillo.
This is so funny. An armadillo (I think) ran in front of my car, as I was driving home on the mountain late at night. I had to slam the brakes not to hit it as it scurried across the beam of my head lights.
i thought you must be mistaken because i never heard of armadillos in that area, but when i looked it up, sure enough, their range is continuing to expand northward and they have been seen in knoxville and nashville. so maybe that was an armadillo you almost smacked.
Or maybe it wasn't, very possible, but it's been quite a wildlife week. I've also seen a coper head and wolf with Lowen and a huge king snake. I have a picture of the king. Wish I had one of the creature that was startled by my headlights :)
