Here she is. The Amelia Earhart of the Howard
family celebrating her 25th birthday on the isle
of Japan. Who knows how long she'll be there?
At least a year or two. Any well-wishers may
leave their kind regards in the peanut gallery
below. We love this girl. She introduced herself
to us this day in 1984. We had her name all
ready and waiting for her: Brae Lawren.
Her sweet charms and rare beauty have
captivated me from the start. By the grace and
blessing of Jesus I get to be her papa. Happy
Birthday Brae.

We've finally got some fairly nice decorative postage to go
with the latest postal rate. This group of five lighthouse
stamps is now available on a sheet of 20 for $8.80. Why is
a sheet preferable to a booklet? Well, I'll tell you. Because
the serrated edge is on all four sides of the stamp. If you
care about your mail's appearance, this is a plus. Try one of
these on a darker envelope and see just how spiffy it looks.
