- I like words, images, graphic design, well-turned phrases, doodling, humor and profundity. These are found in every quarter and I'm always on the hunt. I was rescued (in November, 1974) from guilt and a stubborn irrational belief in an impersonal chance universe (with the accompanying hopelessness). I'm now convinced that nothing is more obvious or worthy of our attention than our Creator and the one true ancient path. Only Jesus has the words of everlasting life. Like John Newton "I once was lost but now am found, was blind but now I see."

i've been thinking about the way people love their dogs and other dogs so much. in the city, dog lovers are especcially common. if i'm walking the hagert's dog, named charles darwin, i have immediate friends, or at least charlie does. people gush over dogs more than they do over babies.
i've concluded that the unconditional love and forgiveness and loyalty we all know we need is too hard to find in a person. people may understand us more deeply, but people will hurt us. dogs do nothing but love.
unless they bite.
now that's what i call a comment.
"Lord, make me the person my dog thinks I am."
i love my dog so much and am just realizing that i dont like other dogs much. just mine. maybe because jember is just so well behaved and obeys every word i say...or hand gesture. other dogs don't do that so much. they act like they own the place.
Yours? The well behaved one who bites the mailman on a regular basis? I am truly glad that you love your dog. : )
