Consider the postage stamp:
its usefulness consists in

whoa! how did you find that quote? this is an amazing idea, finding integrity in these little paper stickers we love so much.

my friend mike found your blog through mine recently. he was raving about it the other night when i saw him at a bar with some friends. he's a graphic designer. check out his work at:

dear good postage stamps! i want to be like one.

is it terribly irreverent of me to say "minus apostrophe"?

very good call annie. how observant of you and careless of me. and i was just explaining to someone (recently) how the possessive of "it" is an exception to the rule (regarding apostrophes) because of the contraction of "it is."

"consider the postage stamp..." Between giggles, may I never forget the lesson. And I'm assuming that in the original post, you had the apostrophe added, and since have corrrected it? It's correct as it is, is it not?

it's been cured of its grammatical ailment.
